I’m having blogger’s guilt. It feels like it has been over a month since my last post. In reality, it has been two weeks, but that may as well be an eternity. For some reason it used to be easier to find the time to write. I’m going to make an effort to post more often… I promise.
For now, I am going to take the easy route out and post a few photos from our Halloween weekend. On Friday Charlie went to visit daddy at work for some trick or treating fun.
On Saturday we went to a fun party with all of our friends from mommy and me. I’ve preached this before and I’ll preach it again, if you have a baby, I highly suggest joining a mommy and me. I don’t know what we would do without this group full of wonderful families.
And here they were last year for comparison purposes…
On Sunday we were supposed to go to a 1st Birthday Party in the early afternoon and a Halloween Party in the later afternoon. Unfortunately, Charlie woke up with a cold, which prevented us from attending either one. On the plus side, we took it as a chance to shop for baby furniture for #2′s room. (I’ll post about that later… I hope).
On Monday, we took Charlie trick or treating for the first time. I don’t think I have ever had a better time on Halloween. It was so incredible to see my little man trick or treating. We took him to a street in our neighborhood that shuts down to through traffic. Kids get to roam freely, which takes a little stress off of us parents. It was also great because EVERY house on the street was decked out in Halloween decor — from fog machines, to spooky music to super fun decorations and costumes, this street had it all!
As you might be able to tell, I take Halloween very seriously. I’m lucky that my husband humors me and supports my love for dressing up. Here we are dressed up this year.
Here we are last year…
And here we are again…
And of course, we had to dress Charlie up as…
I can’t wait to start planning for our family of four. I think I may already have an idea of what the family can be for Halloween 2012. Only 365 more days to go (next year is a leap year). I told you I take Halloween very seriously.
