I have a confession to make — During Henry’s first 11 weeks on this planet he only took 11 baths — 1 a week. I know. Gross, right?
Honestly, it was just too difficult to find the time to bathe him. Well, that and he absolutely hated the bath. An infant hating bath time is counterintuitive to me because Charlie absolutely loved to take a bath. In fact, it was one of the few things that would soothe him. Charlie also loved riding in his car seat and cruising in the stroller. Henry, on the other hand, doesn’t like either one. And here I thought going into baby #2 that I would have it all down. Ha!
I did have a plan though. I knew that I couldn’t continue Henry on this one bath a week cycle forever, so I decided he would start bathing daily with his brother at 12 weeks old. Before I started what is now our nightly tradition I made sure to get Charlie’s permission to share the tub with his brother. He enthusiastically replied, “YES!” and since that day the boys now take their baths together.
Hooray for bath time!

Oh, and I cannot give a higher recommendation for the daphne tub. It is invaluable when it comes to propping an infant for the bath. I loved it for Charlie and it’s even more of a life saver now that I have to bathe 2 little boys at once.
